WESTMORELAND - The Red Boiling Springs Junior High girls basketball squad had its 10-game winning streak end with Monday evening's 38-37, overtime loss at Westmoreland.

The two teams played on Oct. 29 in Red Boiling Springs, with the Lady Bulldogs capturing a 24-16 victory.

In the rematch, the two teams were tied at 13 after one period of play, and RBS led 20-18 at halftime and 28-27 entering the fourth quarter.

Westmoreland banked in a shot in the final seconds of regulation to force overtime.

However, the Lady Bulldogs struggled from the free-throw line the rest of the way, converting on 1 of 3 in the fourth quarter and misfiring on both of their attempts in overtime.

Graycee West's field goal accounted for the only points that RBS scored in overtime.

Bayleigh Norman's basket and Anna Creasy's free throw proved to be the difference for the Lady Eagles in overtime.

Creasy made the first of two free throws with five seconds remaining, following a Lady Bulldog turnover seconds earlier.

Creasy and Norman combined for 30 of Westmoreland's 38 points.

RBS point guard Claire Fleming scored a team-high 12 points, followed by West (8 points), Brianna Thompson (5), Bailey Massengille (3) and Leah Rich (3).

The Lady Bulldogs fell to 11-3.
