RED BOILING SPRINGS -- The Red Boiling Springs Junior High boys basketball team fell behind 26-0 in last Thursday evening's 51-13 loss to visiting Celina.

RBS committed 15 turnovers in the first half, 10 of which came in the first quarter.

The final of those first-quarter turnovers led to Jimmy Burchett's transition layin, creating a 21-0 margin entering the second stanza.

Red Boiling Springs finally scored when Louis Ramirez made a free throw with 4:12 remaining in the half, and teammate Brandon Rojo sank a free throw later in the half.

The margin was 28-2 at halftime and extended to 34-2 midway through the third quarter.

The first basket for RBS came when Colton Copas converted in the lane with 2:48 remaining in the third quarter, and Ramirez and Chris Hackney made 3-pointers later in the period.

Celina led 41-11 entering the final period and then scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter.

Twelve players scored for Celina, led by Weston Birdwell's 10-point effort.

Ramirez led Red Boiling Springs offensively with 5 points.
