Senior setter Chelsea Avila helped the Macon County High volleyball squad to a four-game victory at Greenbrier last Thursday evening.

GREENBRIER -- The Macon County High School volleyball squad won its second consecutive district match last Thursday evening, capturing a 25-20, 16-25, 25-21, 25-16 victory at Greenbrier.

Tigerette senior Gracie Andrews led the team with eight kills, and sophomore Kaitlyn Driver provided five kills.

Macon County senior Halle Shrum served up a team-best five aces to go along with nine digs, and classmate Brooklyn Brawner led the team with 13 digs and also had four kills and two aces.

Tigerette freshman libero Myle Crowder had nine digs, and sophomore teammate Allie Cliburn finished with seven digs.

Macon County senior setter Chelsea Avila dished out 15 assists.

The Tigerettes improved to 3-2 in District 11-AA.

• Then, Macon County improved to 9-3 overall with Monday evening's 25-16, 25-17, 25-15 victory at East Robertson.

Brawner had a team-high eight kills and 12 digs, and both Shrum and sophomore Kaitlyn Driver produced five kills. Shrum also had five digs.

Crowder finished with 18 digs, and Avila provided 18 assists.
