Casey Deshay Jenkins-Petree was born on Jan. 17, 1979, in Lafayette to Cathy Jean Jenkins and the late Bobby Gene Jenkins.

She was a 1997 graduate of Macon County High School. After high school she received her nursing degree from Tennessee State University.

She married Paul Petree who preceded her in death. They were blessed to be the parents of three daughters and two sons.

Casey's father was a home builder when she was growing up. This would probably explain her love for building and remodeling houses. Casey also loved flowers and her children most of all.

Casey was of the Church of God belief and was saved as a young lady in the year of 2006.

Casey departed this life on May 14, at the age of 39. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Casey is survived by: her daughters, Brooklyn Nicole Fitzgerald, Jersey Lane Petree, and Katlyn Deshay Petree; mother, Cathy Jenkins; step-sons, Kaiden Eric Petree and Anthony Bryce Petree; brothers, Darrell Wayne Jenkins, Corey Jenkins (and wife Chrissy), and Daniel Carr (and wife Lindsey); nieces and nephews, Caydra Jenkins, Coltyn Jenkins, Maddox Carr, and Reese Carr. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Casey were conducted on May 18 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Scotty Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the Haysville Cemetery.

Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
