The damage was moderate, but the cause of fire has yet to be determined. Stay tuned for more information.

The LFD has been busy the past few days with minor fires scattered across the County. A grass fire was reported on March 15 at 1946 Green Grove Rd, which started as a controlled fire. Friday, March 21st was a busy day for the Fire Department, starting at 2PM with a trash fire which turned into a grass fire at 1697 Sycamore Valley Rd. At 3:12 PM they were dispatched to 127 Sparrow Rd, where the controlled burning of a brush pile had turned into a grass fire. Then at 3:30 PM, they got a call reporting that a person was cutting up a junk vehicle to sell for scrap when the vehicle caught fire at 105 Webb Lane. The day finally came to a close at 8PM, with a controlled trash and brush fire in an open field at 137 Wheeley Springs Rd.
