In response to a challenging and ever-changing business climate, Cumberland University recently announced that it is expanding its course offerings for the Macon County community. The new programs are designed to enhance workplace productivity and environments and range from communication to technical and personal skills development.

Certification programs offered for Macon County residents include: Strategic Planning, Time Management, Decision Making, Conflict Management, Ethics Training, Financial Management, Business Communication Workshop, Problem Solving, Customer Service Skills and Microsoft Office. All of these and other similar workshops are offered at a cost of $250 per workshop per student. While local businesses in Macon County plan to partner with CU in delivering these workshops to their employees, community members will be welcome to participate in the workshops. Reservation and registration information will be available in early January for these workshops, customized to fit the specific needs of an individual company or city/municipality. Course registration begins January 2.

In addition to the certification programs, the University will offer Trigonometry and World Civilization as Dual Enrollment courses for rising high school juniors and seniors wishing to get a jump-start on college credit.
