Macon County 4-H members recently participated in Tennessee Agriculture Literacy Week. It was an outstanding opportunity for 4-H members to read a children’s book about the agriculture industry to school students. The 4-H members also educated our next generation about Tennesseans who provide the food, fuel, and fiber for the world’s growing population. Allyson Shoulders, Kaylee Case, Samantha Bussell, and Tyler Rush participated and read to students at Central Elementary School and Lafayette Elementary School. A special thanks to Leeann Allen and Kellye Case for allowing the 4-H members to read to their classes.
