Haehl speaks at Rotary

By Chip Turner

At last week’s Rotary meeting Rotarian Doug Haehl spoke to the club giving his interpretation of the 2nd Amendment and the rights it conveys to citizens regarding gun ownership. An avid gun owner himself, Haehl stated that there are over 270 million guns owned by civilians in America, and that guns are used 80 times more often to protect a life than to take one.

The Rotary club is a service organization devoted to projects supporting the community-at-large, including Makin’ Macon Fit, the Macon County 3rd Graders Dictionary Initiative, Boy Scouts, the Macon County High School Interact Club and the Junior High Interact Club, as well as scholarships.
