Submitted

Laurenda Whisenhunt graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in August with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Whisenhunt completed her internship at the Trevecca Counseling Center counseling undergraduate and graduate students. During her internship she also provided counseling services in Davidson County for the residents at Trevecca Towers, a section eight residential community.

Laurenda intends to open a private practice in Macon County. Her new office will be located at 44 Brattontown Circle. Counseling Interventions is the name of her practice and it is expected to open mid-September. She will be offering sessions for EMDR and Brainspotting. (EMDR and Brainspotting are effective treatment modalities for individuals who have experienced trauma.)

Whisenhunt has a desire to counsel individuals in Macon County who desire quality, therapeutic interventions without traveling long distances. Individual, couples, and group sessions will be offered at Counseling Interventions.
