The Tennessee Saddle Clubs Association held its 51st annual state meet Labor Day Weekend. There were 36 clubs from across the state signed up for the 4 day event. The clubs were allowed to send their top five riders in every event. The weekend began on Thursday evening with the English/Gaited events and ended on Sunday with the Men’s Barrels. Each day there were from ten to twenty different events held.
Westmoreland Saddle Club dominated the Speed Events again this year, winning the High Points Speed Events Trophy for the third consecutive year. Our closest competitor for the trophy was nearly 100 points behind us!!!
We would like to give a special thanks to the City of Westmoreland for their help and support throughout the year, none of this would be possible without the property to run our saddle club events and get the practice for our riders!!
This just proves, if you give kids a place to practice, compete, play and spend time with their families, it will pay off in the end. We have the best riders in the state right here at Westmoreland Saddle Club every Friday night from the end of April through the first of August.
We would also like to thank all of our business sponsors who so graciously buy our signs in the arena and ads in our brochures, without your support there would be no Westmoreland Saddle Club!!! Our heartfelt thanks to all of you again.
