MCHS Band brings home first place

This past Saturday, September 17, 2016, the MCHS Marching Band competed in the Hendersonville Golden Invitational Marching Band competition. There were a total of 17 bands competing. The Marching Tigers were competing in Class B, the second largest class in the contest. The Band took home 3rd place Percussion in Class B, 9th overall, and 3rd place Guard in Class B, 10th overall.

The band also received the award for Best Horn Line in Class B as well as bringing home 1st Place Band in Class B while ranking 6th in the Large Division, under the direction of Mr. Joey Wilburn and Ms. Sarah Pleace.

Wilburn stated, “I’m so proud of all of the member’s hard work and look forward to the rest of our contest season!”
