On Sat., Oct. 1st, Billy Snyder, owner of B. Snyder Insurance, sponsored a motorcycle ride to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation of Middle Tennessee.
There were 19 bikes and over 30 people involved including the Faith Riders Westmoreland Chapter, the Westmoreland First Baptist Church and Community Connection Church of God in Lafayette.
There were riders from Gallatin, Lafayette, Westmoreland, Oak Grove, Hermitage, Mt. Juliet, Portland, and as far away as Clarksville, TN that participated in the ride.
Snyder stated, “This is the 2nd annual ride we have sponsored and are really pleased with the turnout. The weather was a little cool and the skies looked like they could open up at any time, but we prayed and God answered our prayers and the rain held off. After lunch, the clouds broke up and we had a nice sunny day.”
“As a business owner, the community supports me when they buy insurance from me and this is one way that I can give back to the community. The Make-A-Wish foundation of Middle Tennessee helps local, young people with serious, sometimes potentially life threatening illness that may not have the time to reach their dreams like we do. I had dreams and goals when I was a kid and fortunately I had the time to achieve them. Some of these kids don’t have that kind of time and we need to do all we can to help them before it’s too late.”
“Most bikers that I know have the biggest hearts and are willing to help those that are less fortunate or are in serious need. We have been on rides that help pay for doctor and hospital bills, support our local law enforcement and EMS, and making sure some kids have toys and clothes for Christmas.”
“I would like to thank all that participated and made donations to the ride. If someone would like to donate, they can send a check to : Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee at 8119 Isabella Lane, Suite 105A, Brentwood, TN 37027. Remember to write Hog Ride 2 in the notes section so we can keep track of the donations.”
