Maggie Keene said, “I didn’t have a car until I was married and our first one was a 1947 Plymouth. Our first new car was a 1963 Chevrolet.”


Dolores Cassidy said her first car was a blue, 1955 Chevrolet, “I got it because I needed it!”


Irene Hamilton said, “A 1951 Oldsmobile, but it was an older model. I got married and we bought it and when we went to the grocery store, we had to leave it running!”


Delma Adams said, “A Chevrolet Celebrity, it was white. I needed it because I had been catching a ride to work. We bought it and I learned to drive and drove myself.”


Martha Carver said her’s was a “1952 Plymouth. I worked and didn’t have a car. I bought a car so I could go to work.”


Residents at Stonecrest Assisted Living: “What was your first car?”
