The Macon County High School Interact Club helped with Veteran’s Day festivities on Friday, November 11. The club had 28 volunteers that worked in two shifts. The students helped set chairs and tents up, helped get food and drinks ready to serve to the veterans, helped serve lunch to the veterans, helped clean up Key Park after the lunch, and helped take down the tents and put away chairs.

“Ms. Lesley Smith, who was supervising the students, was very complimentary of them and thanked us for our assistance. We are so pleased to be allowed to serve this small amount of assistance to recognize our veterans that served us all so well,” said Interact Sponsor Jada Law.
