At last week’s Rotary meeting Dennis Wolford, CEO of Macon County General Hospital, spoke to the club about the new Cardiac Score CT Screening now available at the hospital for only $60. Local State Farm agent Charlie Adams also spoke to the club about the upcoming Hayden Fest, which will be held on Sat., October 22, 2016 at the Macon County Fairgrounds in Lafayette. Adams stressed that 100% of the proceeds from the event go to cancer victims. This year’s program will include a beauty pageant, kids events, a cake walk, great food, live music, a haunted barn and more. Registration form can be found on page C1 in this paper.

The Rotary club is a service organization devoted to projects supporting the community-at-large, including Makin’ Macon Fit, the Macon County 3rd Graders Dictionary Initiative, Boy Scouts, the Macon County High School Interact Club and the Junior High Interact Club, as well as scholarships.
