The Macon County Election Commission is conducting Early Voting for General Presidential and Red Boiling Springs Municipal Election through November 3rd at the Election Commission Office located at 607 Hwy 52 Bypass E, Suite C, in Lafayette. Office hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 29th 8 a.m. to 12 noon. This coming Saturday will be the last Saturday to participate in early voting.
Barry Doss, Administrator of Elections, states, “We have had a very heavy turn out for early voting. We are running ahead of the number of people voting than we were in 2012. Our biggest voting turnout day was Thursday with over 600 votes.”
Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 and all voting will be done at voting precincts. Polls open at 9:00 am on Election Day and Close at 7:00 p.m.
