Macon County High School Cross Country teams competed in the Mid State Cross Country Association's Voyles Classic cross country meet on Saturday, August 23. Held at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna, TN the Voyles Classic is the opening meet in the 2014 cross country season.


The 2014 MCHS Cross Country girls' team ranked 17th in the preseason meet. They are led by senior Logan Hernandez. Returning runners are juniors Jessica Seehafer, Jordan Hauskin, and Maddy Miller, and sophomore Taylor Cox. New comers are freshmen Krista Perkins and Mallory Owens.


The boys' team ranked 45th in the preseason meet. They are led by returning junior Dalton Swindle and sophomores Eric Davis and Jacob Sewell. New to the team are freshmen Oliver Dyer, Isaac Wakefield, and Freedom Nash.
