Funeral services for Billy Wayne Davenport, age 55, of Red Boiling Springs, TN, were conducted Saturday, February 25, 2006 , at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN, with Pastor Jackie Rich officiating. His family and friends served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery.

Mr. Davenport passed away Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2006 at his residence.

He was born on June 15, 1950 in Macon County, TN, the son of Rachel Netherton Davenport of Red Boiling Springs, and the late Paul Davenport. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Brown. He was a logger and a Vietnam Veteran.

Survivors besides his mother include: daughter, Carrie Rae Davenport, Gallatin, TN; son: B.J. Davenport, Murfreesboro, TN; sisters: Nancy Poole, Bowling Green, KY, Jan (Quinn) Haynes, Lebanon, TN; brothers: Roger (Jane) Davenport, Ralph (Selma) Davenport, all of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Ronnie (Sue) Davenport, Portland, TN, and Larry Davenport, Boca Raton, FL.
