The Barren County native, living all his life in the Tracy Community, was born on April 21, 1936, one of three siblings of the late Lee and Clara Inez (Jones) Carver. He was married to the former Mary Evelyn Wood in August of 1961, who preceded him in death on May 18, 1991. God blessed them with three sons. After her death, he married Joyce (Waller) Wyatt on March 5, 1994, who survives. He enjoyed farming, providing for his family, working, breaking and showing mules at many of the county and state fairs. He was often asked to judge mules at the fairs in his later years. He was known to many as the “mule man” and had broken over 100 pair of mules over the years. He was a member of the Barren County Saddle Club, sang bass in many quartets over a span of 30 years and loved to watch Kentucky basketball.
