Dennis Edward Bandy, 70, of 586 South Long Creek Road, Lafayette, TN, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2002 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. The Macon County, TN native was born Feb. 29, 1932, a son of the late Bennie Elzora Bandy and Mercia Perry Bandy, and was a retired mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Rollin Bandy; four sons, David Bandy, Michael Bandy, Charles Bandy, and Billy Bandy, all of Lafayette; three daughters, Darlene Smith and Dorris Bandy, both of Lafayette, and Wanda Morgan, Adolphus, KY; two sisters, Helen Lamb and Patricia Ann Hyde, both of Lafayette; 17 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Bandy, Ray Bandy, and Larry Bandy; and two sisters, Hazel Ford and Katherine Warner.

Funeral services for Dennis Edward Bandy were conducted Tuesday, July 2, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, with Bro. Jerry Wix officiating. Burial was in Eulia Cemetery. Active pallbearers were David Bandy, Michael Bandy, Charles Bandy, Joey Bandy, Mark Driver, Toby Smith, Jason Bandy and Justin Bandy. Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Driver, Brandon Bandy, Zack Bandy, and Luke Bandy.
