At Wednesday’s Rotary Club meeting, the guest speaker was David Kitchens, CESO (Chief Emergency Services Officer) of the American Red Cross Greater Nashville Area office. He spoke to the club about the history of the Red Cross as an organization and the five main duties it is charged with performing: Blood Services, Disaster Response, Armed Forces Support, International Services and Health & Safety Services. The American Red Cross is the only non-profit organization that operates under a congressional charter.
