Kaleigh Chitwood, senior at Macon County High School and member of the Macon County Golf Team, signed a scholarship with Cumberland University on Nov 19, 2012.
Kaleigh has played golf with the MCJHS team for 3 years, MCHS golf team for 4 years. She and her team have participated in the TSSAA A-AA State Golf Championship all four of her years at MCHS. She tied for 25th in this past year’s tournament in Manchester, TN, helping her team to post a second place finish.
Chitwood tied for 24th in the state tournament as a junior, 26th as a sophomore and 30th as a freshman. She has been playing golf since the 6th grade.
Beta Club member Chitwood will be graduating from MCHS in the spring of 2013 with Honors.
