Macon County Girls placed 1^st in the TSSAA Region 5, A-AA Championship meet held Thursday at Percy Warner Park’s Steeplechase Course. This is the 98^th Region Championship for the Macon County’s girls team. This win qualifies the team for an appearance at the TSSAA State Cross Country Championships, held Saturday, November 3, at the Steeplechase Course in Nashville. This will be Macon County Girls 10^th State Meet appearance. In 2011, the last State Meet appearance, the team finished in 3^rd Palce.
