Rev. William Hansel Ray, age 86 of Westmoreland, died May 15, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Ray was a retired minister for the Church of God of Prophecy for over 35 years and also serving as Bishop. He was minister for churches in Franklin, KY, Greenville, TN, Twilight, TN, Mount Crest, Tn, Maylend, TN, Carthage, TN, Signal Mountain, TN and Turtle Town, TN.

Rev. Ray was born September 16, 1919 in Holland, KY to the late Arthur and Cammie Carter Ray. He was married to the late Annie Francis Ray for 57 years who passed away on August 29, 1998. He was also preceded in death by sons: Phillip Hansel & Ray Larry Allen ray, daughter: Wanda Gale Ray, Brothers: Arvil, Model & Lester Ray, sister; Arlene McPete.

He is survived by daughter: Shirley Lambert of Westmoreland, son: Barry Ray Adolphus, KY., sisters: Katherine Waynefield and Louise Martin of Bowling Green, KY and Hazel Matthews of Texas. Grandchildren: Kathy L. Hammock of Westmoreland and Patricia Gale Moss of Hartsville, TN. Great Grandchildren: David, Devin & Derrick Hammock, Shanna & Crystal Hobbs, Ethan & Chris Jones. Eight great grandchildren also survive.

Rev. Ray was active in visitation and prayer service. He left here a loyal and faithful servant to the Lord.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2006 from the Roberts Tabernacle Church of God Prophecy with Rev. Tim McCaleb, Rev. David Prince and Rev. Thomas Hale officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Tabernacle Cemetery.
