He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Anne Payne of Lafayette, TN; son, Rex (Kim) Payne, Jr. of Casper, Wyoming; stepson, Joshua Michael Webb of Lafayette, TN; daughter, Tricia (Jake) Waggoner of Oregon; 5 grandchildren; parents, Mr. Douglas & Mrs. Joanne Payne of Oregon; brothers, Mr. Michael “Mike” Payne and Mr. Gary (Tracy) Payne, both of Oregon; sisters, Mrs. Kay (Gary) Roe and Mrs. Kelly (Dan) Boscke, both of Oregon.
He was joined in death by his daughter, Cortney Lynn Payne.
Miss Cortney Lynn Payne, age 4, of Lafayette, TN, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at her home due to the tornado.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Anne Payne of Lafayette, TN; brothers, Rex (Kim) Payne, Jr. of Casper, Wyoming and Joshua Michael Webb of Lafayette, TN; sister, Tricia (Jake) Waggoner of Oregon; grandparents, Mr. Gary and Mrs. Dorothy Wadell of Hartsville, TN and Mr. Douglas and Mrs. Joanne Payne of Oregon; grandfather, Mr. Daniel Webb of Nashville, TN; and great-grandmother, Louise Webb of Portland, TN.
She was joined in death by her father, Rex Douglas Payne.
Funeral services for both Rex and Cortney were held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008, conducted by Bro. Billy Friel.
Interment was in Hartsville Cemetery.
