On Tuesday, the Tigers hosted East Literature in their Homecoming. The Tigers got off to a rocky start in this game, falling behind early 19 - 9. By the half, East Literature had extended their lead to 35 - 11. During the second half of the game, the Tigers stepped up their action and outscored East Literature 44 - 37. But, it was too little to late. East Literature managed to hold on to win the game by a final of 62 - 55.
Junior Nathan Harris led the team in scoring with 24 points in the game.
Other Tigers putting points on the scoreboard included Nick Felker with 9, Johnathan West with 6, Josh Kirts with 5, and Nick Howser and Jarrod Williamson with 4 points each.
On Thursday, MCHS faced off against the Portland Panthers. Portland's John Ferguson led all scoring in the game with 21 points to lead the Panthers to a 57 - 36 win over MCHS.
The Tigers were led in scoring by Jarrod Williamson with 13 points.
Other Tigers putting points on the scoreboard included Nick Howser with 6, James Law with 5, Nathan Harris with 4, Justin Prock with 4, Josh Kirts with 2, and Johnathan West with 2.
On Friday night, the Tigers traveled to Red Boiling Springs for the last scheduled game between the two schools this year.
The first quarter ended with a 10 - 10 score and the half ended 19 - 19
In the third quarter RHS gained a slight advantage going ahead by 1, with the score 25 - 24.
The Bulldogs outscored the Tigers 22 - 13 in the final quarter of action to take the game by a final of 47 - 37.
Four Tigers put points on the scoreboard in the game, with Nathan Harris led the team with 18 points, followed by Johnathan West with 11, and James Law and Jarrod Williamson with 4 points each.
Next up for MCHS will be a home game this Friday night against David Lipscomb and another home game next Tuesday against Smith County. Both games have a 6:30 p.m. tip-off time.
