Jenkins, 21, suffers from schizophrenia, and was being treated for symptoms of it at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. After the hospital released him, he left on foot.
His parents were concerned for his safety because he takes medication to control his schizophrenia, which he had not had since he went missing.
"He's doing okay," said Jenkins' mother. "We're relieved that he's found and that he's where he cannot harm himself."
