This week I was writing an article about headlines for a web site. And then I remembered that paper.
Love 'em or hate 'em, one thing about them is their headlines will get your attention.
Published in a tabloid format, the Post has a "news headline" on one side and a major "sports headline" on the back.
They are known throughout the industry for headlines that are sometimes funny, at times sophmoric, occasionally insensitive, but pretty much always clever.
I've included some of their images here ... a sampling of attention getting, funny, sophmoric and even one that is a bit insensitive.
But you gotta admit....you want to read more, don't you?
Sometimes, I wish I could write headlines with the cleverness they do.
