The Macon Co. Legislative Body Committee of the Whole met last Monday night. The roll call showed all Commissioners present.

Mayor Linville moved first to a proclamation recognizing the MCJH Football Team for their outstanding performance this season. The team accomplished an undefeated season and captured the 2012 Middle Tennessee Football Championship. There was no address to this and the vote proceeded. There were 5 candidates listed with two (John David and Benny Hudgens) not present, and three present, those being Brent Crowder, Kenny Davis and Timmy Day. Timmy Day won the appointment with 14 of the 19 available votes, Brent Crowder received 3 votes and Benny Hudgens received 1 vote.

In the appointment for the District #8 Commissioners seat, there were 3 candidates. These were Cathy White, Freddy Fuqua and Heather Spears. Cathy White won this vote with 12 while Freddy Fuqua received 6 votes and Heather Spears received 1 vote.
