Taco Bell and Dollar Tree have both announced the opening of new locations Lafayette, TN. They will sit side-by-side in the strip mall next the the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
Taco Bell arrives in mid-September and will be located in the office where Bead Hagan chiropractic office used to be. They will hold a hiring event with interviews on Wednesday, August 1st from 12:00-5:00 pm at the Macon County Chamber of Commerce.
Dollar Tree is opening much sooner. The 8,023 square foot store will be located at 435 Highway 52 West, next to the Walmart Supercenter. “Dollar Tree continues to grow and is proud to be part of the Lafayette community,” said Chelle Davis, Dollar Tree spokesperson. “Our stores are open seven days a week and offer a fast, fun, and friendly shopping experience.”

The store opening has opened up employment opportunities for the community. “We’ve hired about 25,” said store Manager Steve Eaton, of Fountain Run. “That’s about it for right now.”
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new location on July 17—more details to follow. The ribbon cutting, according to Davis, is usually held in the morning, with activities throughout the day: “They’re very family friendly—giveways, music, ect. We also try to spread our events out, so we might have something on the 17th, and then on the next weekend too, to sustain enthusiasm.”
