The Macon County High School Girls Cross Country team was honored with a proclamation at the December County Commissioners Meeting of the Whole. An excerpt from the proclamation
“WHEREAS; team members consist of: Katie Swindle, Alyssa Givens, Katie Hix, Angela Whisenhunt, Jasmine Chaparro, Jessica Seehafer, Logan Hernandez, Abi Welch, Maddy Miller, Karla Whisenhunt.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Legislative Body of Macon County, Tennessee meeting this 17th day of December, 2012, that it recognize and honor the Macon County High School Girls Cross Country team for their successful season and also for representing their school and the county of Macon by displaying outstanding sportsmanship, character, and integrity.”
