With a crowd of approximately 125 attendees, the Red Boiling Springs Alumni Association held its 75th annual alumni banquet on March 30, in the Red Boiling Springs Cafeteria. Three of the former Red Boiling Springs graduating classes, the classes of 1963, 1973, and 1993, were honored during the event. Before venturing to dinner, the classes were allowed to meet and reminisce with former classmates in classrooms on the high school end of the building.
The evening dinner started with the introduction and acceptance of the Class of 2013. Dinner was served and then the association recognized the three classes, as well as, other alumni present. The association then had their business meeting, reading of the minutes, and the election of officers. The officers elected were Brandon Hudson (president), Paulette Davis (vice-president), and Frances Hudson (secretary).
Baskets were passed around to collect donations to go toward an Alumni Association scholarship that is awarded to an RBS graduating senior. The evening was concluded with door prizes, which consisted of coin sets, donated by Macon Bank and Trust and Citizens Bank.
