A man was charged with three counts of sexual battery Wednesday, for incidents which are alleged to have taken place in Lafayette.
Jorge E. Sanchez, 22, is accused of multiple incidents of sexual battery involving three girls, aged 13, 13, and 14. The incidents allegedly took place between February 1 and April 12 of this year, all at the same Lafayette address.
Sanchez’s address is listed as 4944 Hwy 87, Fountain Run, KY.
The Affidavit of Complaint filled out by arresting officer Det. Donnie Crawford lists various incidents of touching, lifting or unbuttoning clothing, grabbing, oral contact, and, in one case, watching the minor take a shower.
“[The girls] disclosed to a mother, who then disclosed to a deputy, and they called me up,” said Crawford.
He said that all three girls are related, and that Sanchez is boyfriend to another family member.
Sexual battery is a Class E Felony in the state of Tennessee, and can carry 1-2 years in state prison per conviction. Sanchez’s court date is set for May 1, and his bond was set at $60,000.
