Owner of burned Daisy Dukes trailer offers reward
A 28-foot trailer behind Daisy Dukes Dance Hall in Lafayette burned to the ground on Monday night. Dance hall proprietor Randy Green, who owned the trailer, estimates the damage at $15,000. He believes the fire was started deliberately, and is offering a $500 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator. New sign welcomes visitors to Lafayette
A new welcome sign has just been installed on Hwy 52, outside the Lafayette City limits. The sign reads “Welcome to: Lafayette Tennessee. Organized 1843.” The Lafayette Rotary Club acquired a matching simplified grant with Rotary District 6780 for the project, spearheaded by Rotary member Ricky White. A warning to Macon hunters: obey the law
A Pleasant Shade resident is finding out just how serious the penalties are for not obeying hunting laws in Macon County. Theodore Allen Kemp, 34, was arrested on April 3rd by the Macon County Sheriff Department and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency—for hunting deer in December.
