A man and his 10-year-old son lost everything in a house fire on Thursday afternoon in the northwest corner of Macon County. Rick and Hunter Bolen, residents at the trailer on 3904 West Fork Creek Road, were not at home when the fire occurred. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Tuesday, May 21, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reopened all lanes on SR 25 (Dixon Springs Highway) in Smith County. Fire in the bed of a pickup Tuesday
This photo was taken on Highway 52 in Macon County close to the OK Market near the Macon/Sumner line at 1:00 pm on Tuesday. Evidently a cigarette ignited some cardboard with plumbing glue on it in the bed of pickup truck. When the driver noticed flames in his rearview mirror he pulled over and drug the contents of his truck bed to the road.
