MCHS FCCLA holds final meeting of year
On May 7th, Macon County High School FCCLA met for their final meeting of the 2012-2013 school year. At this meeting we discussed our fundraisers and National Leadership Conference on July 7th through 11th. We then had our annual ice cream sudae celebration honoring our outgoing seniors. We also installed our 2013-2014 officers.

‘Barnyard’ 4-H fundraiser held in Lafayette
Macon County 4-H held a fundraiser event on Saturday at Tractor Supply Company in Lafayette, featuring concessions and a variety of animals see, pet, and play with. The animal exhibit was provided by Martha Williston and family.

The students in the nursing assistant class at Tri-County Vocational School completed their clinical training last week at The Palace Care and Rehab. Truck Pull raises over $6,000
The 2013 KTPA Terry “Jackhammer” Driver Truck Pull, sponsored by the Lafayette Fire Department, was held on Saturday, May 11 after a rained out Friday. This was the 9th annual pull, which funds a memorial scholarship administered by the Fire Dept. This year, it raised between $6,000-$8,000. Wilson O. Crook of Hartsville and Bonnie Helen Green Crook of Lafayette, married at the courthouse in Lafayette in 1953, celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 6, 2013. Wilson and Bonnie now live in Indianapolis, Indiana with their 4 children, Pam, Steve, Kim and Lisa. One daughter, Debbie, was called home by the Lord. They have 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. God has certainly blessed this marriage and family.
