Tuesday, November 15th kicked off the Hall of Fame games for the Red Boiling Springs High School Bulldog basketball team. The night began with the team facing Daniel One Academy.
The top scorer for the Bulldogs was Elijah Byfield with a total of fifteen points. Byfield had seven two-point shots and a free throw to reach this score. He also had three fouls. Next was Matthew Murphy with four two-point shots, a three-pointer, and two free throws totaling 13 points for the Bulldogs. Murphy did not foul.
Jordan Powell had 12 points for the Dawgs on Tuesday night, all coming from two-point shots. Powell had three fouls. Mason Hix had eight points during the game, a two-pointer and two threes. Hunter Kirk was next with five points for the Bulldogs, coming from a two-pointer and three free throws. Hix and Kirk also did not foul.
Dustin Bergdorff, Dalton Thompson, and Bryson Cherry each had four points for the team. Bergdorff and Thompson each had two two-point shots, Cherry had a two-point shot and two free throws.
Kendall Thompson scored a three-pointer for the team. Justin Bergdorff and Dylan Gross each had two points. Bergdorff from a two-point shot and Gross from two free throws.
The Bulldogs prevailed over Daniel One Academy, 72 to 37.
Immediately following this game, the Bulldog faced off against Middle Tennessee Heat. The top scorer for the Dawgs in this game was once again Byfield. With five two-point shots and nine free throws, Byfield totaled 19 points for the Bulldogs. He had only one foul. Hix and Dustin Bergdorff each had eight points during the game. Hix had a two-point shot and two three-pointers, Bergdorff had four two-pointers. Hix also had only one foul.
Kirk had seven points during the Middle Tennessee Heat game, two two-point shots and a three. Kirk had two fouls. Murphy had two two-point shots during the game and two free throws for a total of six points. Powell also scored six points Tuesday night with a two-pointer and four free throws. Powell had five fouls during the game. Justin Bergdorff had one free throw for the Bulldogs and three fouls.
The Dawgs also won over Middle Tennessee Heat, 55 to 40.
