MCJH Football wins against Fentress Co.

The Macon County Junior High Tigers traveled to Fentress County and played against the Purple Crush Thursday, September 8. The Tigers headed home with another victory for this season.

In the first quarter, Ethan Jenkins rushed the ball a total of 65 yards and scored two touchdowns, both were followed by two point conversions. The Tigers also scored a safety and ended the first quarter with a score of 18 to 0.

The Tigers scored their third touchdown in the second quarter and made the two point conversion. The first half ended with a total score of 26 to 0.

The Tigers gained their second safety with a tackle by Logan Whittemore. Skylar Haney was able to rush the ball 42 yards and scored a touchdown, but the two point conversion failed.

During the fourth quarter Landon Colter rushed the ball for 49 yards and scored a touchdown and a two point conversion for the Tigers. Fentress County was able to score a touchdown before the game ended, but failed at the two point conversion. The Tigers won the game 42 to 6.

The Macon County Jr. Tigers traveled to Smith County Tuesday, Sept. 13. They will play at home on Tuesday, Sept. 20 against Trousdale County. Kick off times are at 6:30 p.m.
