RBSHS wins last home game of season

Red Boiling Springs High School football played against Clay County last Friday, October 14. This was the Bulldogs last home game of the season.

In the first quarter, Clay County was the first to score as they rushed the ball 11 yards for the first touchdown of the game. RBS Justin Bergdorff shortly followed by rushing the ball 4 yards for the Bulldogs first touchdown. Elijah Byfield scored the two point conversion. Clay County scored another touchdown in the first quarter with a good two point conversion.

Neither team was able to score in the second quarter. The score at the end of the first half, RBS 8 to Clay Co. 14.

The RBS Bulldogs came back and played hard in the second half. RBS’s Justin Bergdorff scored a touchdown with a 2 yard rush. RBS Elijah Byfield followed with a 67 yard run for a touchdown, and scored the two point conversion. In the fourth quarter RBS’s Lee Pruitte rushed the ball 4 yards and scored a touchdown, which was followed up with a two point conversion. RBS’s Justin Bergdorff was able to score the Bulldogs final touchdown with a 17 yard run, and Byfield scored the two point conversion.

Final score of the game, RBS 38 to Clay County 20. The Bulldogs will travel to Trousdale County this Friday, October 21. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
