Chip Turner|MCT School will be out for the rest of the week in Macon County.


In addition to being closed on Wednesday Feb. 15, 2017 for a scheduled parent-teacher conference, Macon County public schools will also be closed due to illness among students, faculty and staff both Thursday and Friday. Since schools will also be closed on Monday for President’s Day, normal schedules will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 21st.

According to a statement from the school system, they have seen a marked increase in students with the flu, along with strep, sinus infections and stomach flu.

The parent-teacher conference will occur as scheduled on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
