Stuff the Bus for Baton Rouge

At the August 31st Rotary meeting Vera Brewer and Jada Law spoke to the club on the “Stuff the Bus for Baton Rouge” effort taking place at MCHS. They are planning to help St. Jean Vianney School, a K-8 school in Baton Rouge, LA, that lost everything in the severe flooding that affected that area. School supplies, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and P.E. equipment and books are among the suggested donations. The bus will be outside of the MCHS through Sept. 9, 2016 to receive donations. For more information contact Vera or Jada at 615-666-4320.

The Rotary club is a service organization devoted to projects supporting the community-at-large, including Makin’ Macon Fit, the Macon County 3rd Graders Dictionary Initiative, Boy Scouts, the Macon County High School Interact Club and the Junior High Interact Club, as well as scholarships. For more information on your local club you can call president Stacey Brawner at 615-666-2147. Like ‘Rotary Club of Lafayette, TN’ on Facebook.
