Clean up Day

The City of Red Boiling Springs will have a clean-up day on Saturday June 13. Anyone wanting the city to pick up for them on this day must call City Hall at 615-699-2011 before 4:30 PM Thursday June 1. All items will be picked up with the exception of wood items, leaves, paint, paint products, motor ail, car batteries, tires, or any items containing refrigerant.

Decoration Notice

Decoration at Underwood Cemetery will be June 14. All flowers and ornaments must be removed after two weeks so mowing may resume.

Belview School Reunion

The Belview School Reunion will be Saturday, June 13 at the school house. Potluck meal will be around noon. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the day with schoolmates, neighbors, friends, and families. Bring a chair if you can.

L.B.J.&C. Head Start

L.B.J.& C. Head Start is currently accepting applications to provide free comprehensive child development services to children 3-5 years of age from low-income families in a full day program. Services are also offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities. L.B.J. & C. Head Start helps all children succeed.

VFW Breakfast

The VFW will be having their ham breakfast from 7:30-9AM on Sat. June 13. The cost is $7 per plate. You do not have to be a member to attend. Turkey shoot to follow beside Sunshine Market. Guns and shells are provided or bring your own.

Allen County Fair

Allen County Fair will begin on June 14 at 2 PM with the Annual Fair Pageants. The Pageants will be held at the Allen County High School Auditorium. The remainder of the fair runs June 20-27. For more info, call 270-622-1487.

MCHS Alumni Banquet

Macon County High School Alumni Banquet will be June 20, at MCHS Sports Building behind Macon County Jr High. Doors will open at 5:30 dinner at 6:30. To make reservations, please call 615-666-4752.

Music Academy

Do Re Mi Gospel Music Academy will be held June 12-20 at 275 Cedar Bluff Rd in Hartsville. This school is dedicated to shape note gospel music education, promotion and preservation. For more info, go to their website at doremigospelmusicacademy.com.

Benefit Singing

A benefit gospel singing for 6-yr-old Addyson Clark will be held at 4 PM, Saturday, June 13 at First Baptist Church in Hartsville (new location). This is hosted by the Do Re Mi Gospel Music Academy and features the Called Out Quarter, Commonwealth Quartet, Midstate Quartet, and Old Fashioned Harmony Quartet. Concessions will be available.

Art in the Park

Art in the Park, an art workshop for children ages 5 thru 12, will be held 9 AM – 12 noon June 15 and 16, at the Macon County Fairgrounds. It is sponsored by Macon County Arts Council. Fried Pie Contest

Fried Pie Contest will be held during Hillbilly Days 1 PM Saturday, June 20 behind pavilion in Key Park. Must bring 3 pies of each variety for judging.
