Daisy Newberry Mosley, of Lafayette, TN, was born on Thursday, February 5, 1931, one of nine siblings born to the late Dave and Willie Hudson Newberry. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 27 days. Funeral services for Daisy Mosley were conducted on Friday, June 3, 2011 from the chapel of Anderson and Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Frank Fox officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Zak Guffie, Jargo Bilbrey and Gordon Newberry. Pallbearers were Steven Claywell, Christopher Sexton, Aaron Pedigo, Anthony Guffie, Dennis Newberry, David Newberry and Junior Newberry. Interment followed in the Anderson and Son Memorial Park.

Daisy spent several years working at the boot factory and shirt factory, but she also baby sat and sat with elderly folk. She enjoyed making children’s clothes and quilting and was of the Church of Christ belief. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Grady Willard Mosley, two sons, Charles Dewayne Mosley and Jimmy Dale Mosley, three brothers, Roy Newberry, Clay Newberry and Adolphus Newberry and three sisters, Elaine Patterson, Rulene Bilbrey and Mazie Newberry.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia (Curt) Roysden of Gallatin, Teresa (John) Johns of Lafayette, Deborah (Danny) Stafford of Hartsville, Vickie (Harold) Crawford of Lafayette, and Linda (John) Pedigo of Lafayette, a brother, Channie Newberry of Red Boiling Springs, a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine (Billy) Doris of Adairville, KY, sisters-in-law, Merlene Mosley of Lebanon, Frances McCue of the Highland Community, Dorothy Newberry of Lafayette and Jean Newberry of the North Springs Community in Jackson County, a brother-in-law, Bobby Patterson of North Carolina, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
