MCHS Football Cheerleaders Win Sixth State Title

The Macon County High School Football Cheerleaders continued their winning streak this past week-end by claiming their sixth State title in the cheer/build division.

The MCHS Cheerleaders include: Seniors - Ashley Wolfe, Amy Hire, Alisha Gregory, Jamie Kemp, Jessica Glover, Sara Beth Law, and Courtney White; Juniors Tabitha Key and Chastity Shrum, Sophomores Candice Briggie and Mandy Wilson and Freshmen - LeighAnn Smith, Lauren Whitaker, Caitlin Law, and Sara Dallas.

Last Saturday, the cheerleaders took first place in a state competition held in Murfreesboro.

The week before, the team placed 2nd in the medium varsity UCA Middle Tennessee Regional competition.

The 2nd place finish also earned the MCHS cheerleaders a bid to the National competition scheduled for February 7 - 11 in Orlando, Florida.
