The Lafayette Quarterback Club would like to graciously thank everyone who helped in any way to help make our 5th annual ham breakfast such a success this year. We had 22 members who donated their time and managed to get up by 3:30 in the morning to help get everything started. We had somewhere in the neighborhood of about 250 plates being prepared this year which was much more than last year's breakfast. Thanks to everyone who made it out on a Saturday morning to show your support.

A special thanks goes to Mrs. Jane Hudgens for her time in overseeing all of the preparations and supervising each of us. Without her, none of this would have been possible. also, thanks to Tony Allen for donating the milk and orange juice once again this year and to Hometown Foods, Save-A-Lot, and Randy Driver for donating a country ham each.

To Coach Dyer and the entire coaching staff, thanks so much for being present and helping to represent what the club is striving to become in the community. Thanks also to each of the football players who volunteered to deliver the plates to several employees at local businesses around town. Some of the businesses included Citizens Bank, Macon Bank, Cumberland Bank, Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart, Farm Bureau, the county court clerk's office, the sheriff's office, Tuck's Building Supply, Macon County General Hospita and possibly others that the boys went around to themselves. Thanks to each of the employees that purchased these plates from us.

A huge thank you must also go to Ivon Davis and 102.1/WEEN Radio for being present and allowing different ones to talk and promote the club and the team.

I believe that each of us that follow the Macon County Tigers football program is looking forward and anticipating big things this fall from the Tigers team. Each of the players are working tremendously hard in the weight room in preparation for the season and I believe each of them are dedicating themselves to try to make this the best year ever for our program. I urge each member of the community to come out to every one of the games this year and show your support of the team and try to help them by showing that we are behind them no matter what.

The Lafayette Quarterback Club will be there to assist Coach Dyer in whatever he feels is necessary6 for us to do and we will support the Macon County High Tigers and the Macon County Junior High Tigers programs to the best of our ability.

The Club will be having a membership drive for the next couple of months and we sincerely ask for anyone who wants to help the football programs here in Lafayette to join this club and help us to help them. Contact Billy Bowman, president of the Lafayette Quarterback Club, if you need any more information.
