The Macon County High School Tigerette tennis team begins a new era this season with the graduation of All Mid-state stand-outs Ashley Jones and Kasey Craig and with the transfer of Kelly Strong.

Laura Fitzgerald leads this year's squad as the only senior Melissa Meador are the only other players with district tournament experience. Sophomore Lorie Owen and Freshman Sarah Fitzgerald show promise and are expected to contribute greatly this season.

Rounding out the squad are Juniors Megan Sutton, Katie Boles, Stephanie Walker, Hanna Kokotkiewicz and Jenni Thomas; sophomores Hillary Sexton, and freshman Rebekah Cothron, Sagan Durham, and Jessica Allison.

In district play, Trousdale County returns a senior laden team while Springfield always has a fundamentally sound team.

In the region, Livingston Academy or Friendship Christian should compete for the Regional title.

The Tigerettes are scheduled to host Livingston on Wednesday, travel to Davidson Academy on Thursday, and travel to Cannon County on Friday.

Coaches Keith Anderson and Bob Fitzpatrick invite everyone to come out and enjoy the games as the Tigerettes reload for another exciting season.
