Bobby Lee Coons, 51, of Hendersonville, TN, died April 27, 2003, at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle, WA, after a long illness.

Services were held Saturday, May 3, 2003, 2 p.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Hendersonville, TN, with Rev. Jimmy Cook officiating.

He was an electrician and an active member of IBEW Local 429, a 32nd Degree Mason (Lodge #359) and the Al Menah Shrine temple. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hendersonville.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Ashley; father, Leslie coons; mother, Opal Crawford Coons; and father-in-law, Elvin Gentry.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Gentry Coons; daughter, April Coons Cline (Shawn), Columbia, TN; sister, Marcella Stokes (Danny), Elkton, KY; brother, Eldon Coons (Glenda), Loogootee, IN; brother-in-law, Jerry Gentry (Jennifer), Hendersonville, TN; step-brother-in-law, Bertrand Duke (Wendy), Mufreesboro; and mother-in-law, Wilma Duke (Tony), Lebanon, TN.
