Louis Ray McDonald, age 61, of 12871 Galen Road, Lafayette, TN, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.

He was born April 26, 1942 in Macon County, TN, a son of the late Blain McDonald and Hazel Richardson McDonald of Lafayette, who survives. He was married to Lori Blankinship McDonald on Oct. 24, 2003, who survives. He served in the TN Air National Guard for 35 years and was a farmer. He attended Corinth Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, 2:00 p.m., at Strode Gamaliel Chapel, officiated by Bro. Jeremy Yokley and Teddy Wayne Hale. Military services at graveside were held at Corinth Garden in Macon County. Pallbearers were Glen Brown, Harold McDonald, Jerry Yokley, Joe Hursh, Andy Cassety and Eric David. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Marsh, Wyndle Marsh, Genie Murray, Norman Cole, Terry Hale, Kenny Carver, Harold Pitcock, Harvis Hagan, and Terry Green.

Survivors include a brother, Doug McDonald, Gamaliel, KY; three sisters, J. Faye McDonald, New Orleans, LA, Malinda Hursh, Nashville, TN, Ina K. Shelton, Houston, Texas; two step-sons, Jake Tucker and Ryan Tucker, both of Lafayette, TN; and a step-daughter, Kirstin Tucker, of Lafayette, TN.
