Freddie Harley Jones, 50, of the Wixtown Community, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2003 at his residence after a three month illness.

The Macon County, Tennessee native was born July 6, 1950 a son of the late Carlean Jones and Mary Smith Jones and was a construction worker. On September 25, 1993 he was united in marriage to Cheryl Dillon Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Dillon Jones, of the Wixtown Community; a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Craig Cothron; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Jassen and Treva Jones; and Thomas Jones, all of Lafayette, TN; his mother, Mary Jones, of the Wixtown Community; 5 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, Lonnie Jones; Carl and Judy Jones, Raymond and Wilma Jones, Hubert and Tammy Jones, and Phillip Hardcastle, all of Lafayette, TN; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertie and Thomas Christian; Kathy and Ralph Duffer, Lafayette, TN; Janet and Larry Sebert, Franklin, KY; and 3 grandchildren, Callie Cothron, Katie Cothron, and Brandon Jones. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Faye Jones.

Funeral services for Freddie Harley Jones were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Wix officiating. Burial was in Shrum Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Christian, Roger Jones, Derek Jones, Jared Jones, Ryan Jones, Russell Duffer, Curtis Tomlinson, and David Wix.

Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN was in charge of arrangements.
