Dennis H. Evetts, 84, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2004. The Macon County, Tennessee native was a son of the late Charlie and Mary Evetts, a member of the Madison Lodge # 762 F. & A.M., and Old Hickory Chapter # 203 O.E.S.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Delcie Gammon Evetts; son and daughter-in-law, David and Ruth Ann Evetts; daughter, Betty Evetts Cupples, all of Madison, TN; 3 sisters, Edna Gregory Vinson, Lafayette, TN; Laurie Walden, Madison, TN; and Lorene Gregory, Hartsville, TN; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Carsey Evetts, Clemens Evetts, and Henry Evetts; and a sister, Gertrude Tuck.

Funeral services for Dennis H. Evetts were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Goodlettsville, TN with Eld. Jerry Shrum and Eld. H.C. Vanderpool officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were George H. Callis, IV, Devin "Andy" Callis, Paul Bryan Callis, Jeff Suddarth, Matt Clark, and Christopher Wilbur.
